The short version: GenMyMeme collects only the minimum data needed to make the meme generator work. Your data is used exclusively for operating and improving GenMyMeme and is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

2.3 Meme Content

When you create and share a meme, the generated image is uploaded to our servers so it can be accessed via a share link. Uploaded meme images are automatically and permanently deleted after 30 days. We do not analyze, moderate, or review the content of your memes beyond what is necessary to operate the sharing feature.

2.4 Share Activity

When you share a meme to a social platform (such as X/Twitter, Reddit, or WhatsApp), we record which platform was used and the associated meme identifier. This helps us understand which sharing features are most useful. We do not have access to your social media accounts and cannot see your social media activity.

2.5 Email (Optional)

If you choose to subscribe to updates, we collect your email address and, optionally, your display name. Providing your email is entirely voluntary and not required to use any feature of the Service. You may unsubscribe at any time by contacting us. If you consent to receive marketing emails, that preference is stored separately and can be withdrawn at any time.

2.6 Information We Do Not Collect

We want to be clear about what we do not collect:

We do not collect your real name, home address, phone number, or payment information.
We do not track your location beyond the time zone your browser reports.
